Replacing GPU in MSI GX700 Extreme Laptop

I'm thinking of replacing the GPU in my MSI GX700 Extreme laptop, currently an 8600M GT 512MB MXM II, with an 'nVidia 9650M GT 1GB DDR2 MXM II', which, according to my research, should be compatible. Any idea where I can pick up one of these, they seem to be pretty hard to find?

I have found one or two from China and the US, but I want to keep the cost down and avoid import duty.

Hi, did you succeed in replacing the vga board? I have a defective 8600GT in my laptop, and trying to look for a replacement but coudn't find any on the Internet. Maybe the 9650M Gt is easier to find.

Passed my old laptop on to my nephew and got myself a new MSI GT70 0NC-016UK gaming laptop 😀

The 9650M seems hard to find in the UK, a few seem to pop up on eBay but seem to be from Hong Kong and China. You'd probably be hit with import duty etc.
