Replacing internal harddisk

I have a WD 1TB internal harddisk that has some files in it. Can I connect it to my PC and use it without having to format it?

If you will be using it as a boot drive you still need to install the OS into that drive but if you're just using it as a data storage drive then u can just use it without having to format.

Yes, U have an OS installed in my current harddisk. So, to use the other harddisk without loosing data..
What should I do? Should i simply connect SATA cables and Power rail . Will the new storage device appear on nxt boot in computer?

Yes just simply connect it to your PC via SATA.
