I'm replacing my Asus Sabertooth X58 Board since its no longer booting (trusted me I've tried everything, its done) and my Xeon X5675 and was thinking about going to a newer 2011 or 1150 socket/board. Any recommendations that are the equivalent of the my previous setup that sub $400ish Used/New? :)
The rest of my setup is:
24GB Corsair Vengeance Ram
Nvidia GTX 770 Classified 4GB
1 TB SSD evo80
2x 4GB SSHD Seagate
Noctua14U cooling
NZXT Phantom 410 Mid size case
😀
**Since my Intel x5675 still work i thought about staying with 1366 socket board but since their so over price for a 1366 with 6gb/s Sata I thought I should move to a modern setup.
What do you guys think? :??:
Thx

**Edit: I use my PC for mostly Graphic Work (After effects, VizRT, Cinema3d) but I also play some games (MMOs mostly) **

4690K was my original suggestion until I saw the apps being run, they would benefit greatly from Hyperthreading
@ Joseph DeGarmo Yeah it was a great price! It seemed like no one noticed it I was the only bid, and when I received it and it looked Mint I was super excited. It's running great :)

BTW
My Corsair GS 700 PSU is finally dead, so I (Luckily) just received a Used EVGA 850W G2 PSU from my friend who just upgraded to a 1200W system.

My question is, even though my current system only pulls about 500-525 watts, is the EVGA 850W G2 PSU still efficient?
Should I use the ECO Thermal Control System Mode? :)
