Replacing PSU, PC wont boot up.

I am trying to replace the OEM PSU from a Dell Vostro 260 with a brand new EVGA 600B PSU to use a dedicated video card. I know the EVGA PSU works perfectly fine (tested it in my other PC and paper clip test). However, once I installed it on the Dell (all cables have properly been connected) the PC doesn't power on. The motherboard light turns on but CPU fan does not spin. The other components (including the video card I want to use) aren't the problem since I am able to use the PC with the OEM PSU with no problem. I have tried clearing the CMOS but that didn't work. Any ideas what might be the problem?

Edit: The EVGA has a 20+4-Pin ATX cable while the OEM PSU is just a 24pin cable, should I try connecting only the 20pin?

Thanks

Hey Wek. I remenber back on my case builders times that: I often made the mistake to connect the Graphic card 8 pins cable instead of the Motherboard 6 pins, double check if you connected your motherboard correctly, that you really used the indicated connectors and not the Graphic cards one. I know it sounds dumb but it seems more like a routing problem. cheers.

Look at the manual page 4 http://www.evga.com/support/manuals/files/100-B1-0600.pdf

I think you pluged the 20+4 pins correctly to the motherboard, the motherboard has light it means she is getting her power, but now I do think you mixed the GPU connector (The pci-expres 6+2 pin) with the CPU (EPS12V 4+4 pin) they are really similar but actually your cpu wont get the right amount of power and If i remenber right, it is possible to switch the connnectors.

I am pretty sure I connected the right cables to the right components. The connector heads are labeled CPU/PCIE/etc. and the number of pins for them are different. Im currently updating windows but once this is done I'll try to connect the new PSU again.

Fixed the problem, whatever it was. I tried to connect the new PSU again and this time I made sure to pressed up on all connectors firmly. Thanks for all the help.
