Can everyone hold their horses just a tad bit. Since when has AMD EVER offered CPUs in the ballpark of these prices, much less at such hyper specific - to the penny - pricing scales. Obviously these are not real prices, so let's all just chill a little, okay?

The pricing is nonsensical if they cannot compete in those price brackets. We can only assume that these processors are going to be beasts.

That or the prices are a fabrication. In any case at that price and TDP these CPUSs are not my cup of tea.

I think there is no reason to say, 220w TDP at factory clock means almost null room for OC.. and at that price, Intel rules in price, performance, efficiency, and plenty room for OC.

200W TDP is actually very reasonable for a 5GHz chip if you compare the chip to the heat generated by the overclocked Haswell CPUs. TDP does not = CPU power consumption but rather the required heat dissipation to maintain stable temperatures.

You can sell it for $800 to someone who has a mental illness and/or someone who knows nothing about computer hardware.

what if the 9xxx series can be OCd to 5,6 or 5.7 GHZ 9like you can with the 6300). I just want to see the cooling solution from AMD,...

It will have to be something crazy seeing as My 212+ in push pull with aftermarket fans can barely keep my 6300 in check at 5 Ghz

I've seen quite a few post with an 8350 going 5GHZ+ with an h100. There are quite a few off-the-shelf high end cooling solutions suitable for these chips.

I don't know if I'm the only one who thinks tech news over the course of the past 12 months has been rather ho-hum. Not a ton of innovation, just a lot mobile development. Intel hasn't released anything exciting since the 2600k. These FX-9xxx may just be oddities with limited availability but they're at least interesting. At this point kinda reminds me of the 960t.

Just saw the bundles on Newegg. You can't buy these CPUs (9370 and 9590) by themselves. They're fairly premium builds with a very premium price. So, guess we'll have to wait on the benchmarks.
