[citation][nom]wiyosaya[/nom]I don't know what older Phenoms are like, but I like my II X4 965.[/citation]

I'm still using a 940, 945, 955 and an Intel Q6600. They all work great.

look like i might actually go back to intel next build (when ever that is, damn broke all the time). Haven't owned an Intel processor since 99 thoughbecasue of their super prices, looks liek my next build wont be an 8 core monster for sure , probably settle on a cheaper quad core i5 or soemthing along those lines

I think I understand AMDs's decision. - Progress will move on.
All businesses that are successful make progress; and in the technology arena that means old is old.
That simply translates to consumers: 'Let's keep on progressing, folks'

AMD's new platform of CPUs is actually very impressive. But, understanding the platform and the updates coming to them is what should excite AMD enthusiasts.

The Phenom II and Athlon II discontinuation is unfortunate, and I sympathize. However, I wouldn't let go of hope as newegg.com's stock of these processors is actually first come first serve, and replenishment of older stocks sometimes actually returns!

[citation][nom]Anonymous[/nom]You are killing the Phenom X6 line ? Whats wrong with you AMD? The only CPU better than Bulldozer on legacy software and you are terminating production ?[/citation]
To everyone I am pretty positive they will just be killing of the Phenom II x4 Deneb not the Thuban Phenom II x6 that being said the Denebs were better than the Thubans they were the best AMD had.
