So if Titan is supposed to be 85% of GTX690 how can it score double the points ??

Is the GPU optimiced towards this test ??

I will not believe this numbers until Tom's benchs one

It was rumored to be 85% of a GTX 690... But after seeing the tests it seems it might be 10-15% faster than the GTX 690.

It would be fantastic if this turns out to be true, but I seriously doubt that it is. It seems far more likely that it's either a massively overclocked Geforce Titan, or a complete fabrication. If you look closely you can make out a "GTX" next to Geforce in the results. It could just be an overclocked GTX 690. A GK110 performing that well at stock, or even with a reasonable overclock, just doesn't make sense to me.

[citation][nom]samuelspark[/nom]If it outperforms the 690, it'll outperform the 7990[/citation]
Oh what a shocker , future to be released products that outperforms actual released products ?

[citation][nom]redeemer[/nom]But its called Titan inspired by the Cray Titan supercomputer, which houses nearly 19 thousand Nvidia Tesla K20X cards. So is this a gaming card?[/citation]
Yes, there's a rumor floating around that Nvidia is planning to release a gk110 based Geforce card in late February.

But will it outperform 8990 and 790 considering the fact that the Radeon 8000s and GTX 700s series are coming in the spring?

Now I know what I'm spending $899 out of my tax refund on next month. Upgrading from a 3Gb 580.

This one card outperforms all 3 of my 580's combined. Glad I skipped 600. Now it's time to scratch up some dough... I need 2 pls!!

AMD's GPU has been out longer and still outperforms the GTX so AMD has had alot longer to develop their new GPU, and from what I understand a redesign from the ground up. I'm looking forward to seeing these two monter's lock horns.

[citation][nom]zyzeast[/nom]So, this is what the GTX 680 was supposed to be until they saw the 7970 benchmarks, right?[/citation]
This would only have been the case if gk110 had been ready at the time, it was not. It was still in development. If the HD7970 had performed a step better, in other words if an HD7870 had performed competitively with a GTX680, Nvidia would've been in trouble. Nvidia was fortunate that they could compete with the HD7970 with their mid-range GPU, because that's all they had at the time.

Um, don't know where you heard that, but that's news to me.
