sorry but how does bigger/higher resolution textures and meshes with more polygons (to make things smoother) get optimised? make the textures smaller and less polygons? defeats the entire point of it

Two of these in crossfire for 1440p eyefinity :) I just want a single card to be able to do that but this means 4K needs to come out then I will want those in eyefinity 🙁

@nottorp I was responding to the article. My point is that they promise big content updates, which is what GW2 does now while not requiring a subscription... If what you say is true, then it is in direct opposition to their claims of content equality (another race for money)...
If what i say is true? Open their site and marvel at the way they push the (more expensive) Imperial Edition :)

what ppl dont realize is, the next gen of consoles have 8GB of unified memory. Some of the first games that have came out for both the Xbox One, and PC, have used large amounts of Video Memory instead of using local RAM.Basicly, all of the new pc games coming out will start using more video memory because thats how they were coded for next gen consoles.

Use Mantle as the api in bf4 @ 1920x1080, open gpu-z in the background, set everything ulta, 2x MSAA and see 3.4GB VRAM usage.

I have received confirmation from Sapphire via facebook that the 8GB cards Toxic and Vapor x, are not going to be put into production.
