Hello everyone, longtime no speak

I've been out of the loop for about 6 months whilst I've been busy with work and what not so haven't had a chance to keep up to date with the latest marketing ploys by both major companies, Bit of Background: Having problems with my current set up at the moment Quite possibly one of my GFXs is failing possibly not so this advice may be redundent i don't know I will find out after a bit more testing but to help me decide what to do next I'd like some recommendations of 1) A good plenty-for-my-money Card and 2) a Budget restricted card.

Currently I use 2 Monitors, 22" at 1680x1050 and a 23" at 1920x1080. Games I generally play are MW2, Force Unleashed, Minecraft (trollface.jpg) and other similarly powered games.

I'd like to only spend about £150 however I'd go up to £200 if it's a particularly good card. I've heard recommendations of the GTX460 but looking at the benchmarks myself I can't really see the hype or am I missing something?

If it's worth me holding on until the next series of cards come out then I don't mind limping on just the one GFX for now.

Thanks in advance.

Hey though they're at the high end of your price range id go for a radeon 5850 or 6870. If you hunt or wait a bit I think you might get some dropped prices for the 5850's due to the new 6000 series cards which just came out.

Thanks for the advice, I'm probably gonna find a way around it or hold out long enough on the one 9800GTX+ for as long as I can as this month is already turning out to be an expensive month just 1 week in.

Also, I've just noticed that the rest of my system specs aren't in my Signature anymore, for those asking for it:

i7 920 @3800mhz
ASUS P6T Deluxe (v1)
BFG 9800 GTX+ in SLi
3GB OCZ RAM @ 1888mhz
Corsair TX850w
DVD+BluRay Drive
640GB WDCaviar Black
1TB WDCaviar Green
