I recently got a bad malware virus and had no choice but to wipe and reset my PC installing Windows OS again. Since doing so I've been unable to login. I've got a USB Mouse and Keyboard, as well as a little keyboard with mouse wheel (for media centres etc.).
When I try to login with my mouse and keyboard connected, I can type in my password fine, hit enter and it just sits at the loading circle icon doing nothing. Try removing the keyboard and mouse, rebooting, reconnecting and it doesn't recognise either. Then I've tried rebooting, leaving the devices disconnected, connecting my media centre keyboard, logging in but the same happens.
I have found a way to login and that was too reboot with the media centre keyboard only plugged in, and typing in my password with the on screen keyboard using my mouse. At the moment this is the only way I'm able to login, it's really strange and inconvenient. I've already tried updating the drivers for both the mouse and keyboard, but they're up to date.
Does anyone have a fix at all?
