Alright I just finished a new build I turn it on & I get the "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key". I originally didn't think anything of i because I hadn't installed windows yet. So I went and grabbed the installation drive I usually use plug it in to my PC go into bios to select the USB as my boot drive but it doesn't show up. So I reboot and try all the available USB slots in my system but still no luck getting the drive to show up in bios. I decided to just take the SSD out of the new build and put it in my other system and just install it there. I run through the installation fine and get into windows. I take the SSD out put it back in the new build and I get the same "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key" message. The SSD is the only drive in the new system and is selected as the boot drive in bios. Any ideas?

Have you updated the bios in motherboard? DId you change anything in bios?

So we know the installer works, as it worked in another PC...

Lets try to install win 10 on the PC via Boot override and see if that works
Put USB in PC
go into BIOS
open to save & exit screen
choose boot override - Allows you to select a device to boot immediately. Press <Enter> on the device you select and select Yes to confirm. Your system will restart automatically and boot from that device.

that should make it boot off USB. You shouldn't need to...

that should make it boot off USB. You shouldn't need to do that on a brand new motherboard though.

Since ssd is only thing in boot order, the PC should boot off it next startup.
