Currently in the process of doing a full wipe of my computer to reinstall the OS. Original issue had to do with my gpu acting up. Doing this to clean out drivers and such, trying to prevent a second RMA. The reset was going fine until 55%, where it has been stuck for several hours.

I'm not sure if I am able to shut down my computer during this process, so I am looking for some assistance.

Running Windows 10-64bit
Mobo:gigabyte z270x Ultra Gaming
Processor: Intel core i7
gpu: evga ftw 1070 few hybrid
Ram: g.skillz tridentz 2x8gb

Solution
Full resets seem to get stuck.

Is the hdd activity light showing any action or does it just seem frozen? How big is the boot drive? If its several tb and only a hdd it might still be busy wiping drive. If hdd light shows no activity, I would turn PC off and do a fresh install instead. Much faster really, achieves same effect as a full reset.

on another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

change boot order in BIOS so USB is first, hdd second
boot from installer
follow this guide: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

when you reach the screen asking for licence, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 will continue to install and reactivate...

On the screen where you choose where to install win 10, if it gives you an error about GPT drives, delete all the partitions on the hdd and press next. If it still gives error, cancel out of the installer and restart PC and start installer again, it will accept next on that screen this time (some PC just need a restart here)

Solution
Thanks for the support. I waited it out and after about 2 more hours, it randomly jumped to 99% and completed. This process did leave a few things on my computer, though. Including a half-working windows 10. I fixed this by using the creations tool to update.
