Resolution and size problems after GPU install

I just installed a new Gigabyte Radeon R9 270 OC and once i got the drivers installed, i rebooted, and once my screen came back on, the resolustion seems a but blurry and generally smaller. My desktop doesnt fit to the edge of thee monitor screen... is there a way to fix this or is it my monitor?

GPU: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270 OC
Monitor: A basic Hannspree monitor. nothing special.

Have you configured your desktop's resolution to your monitor's native resolution? have you tried the auto-adjust option in your monitor? (I guess it has one).

When i right click my desktop and go to resolution settings, its on the highest resolution with the largest screen. and my auto search is on.
