Resolution changes for some secs. when game starts and closes

Hey, just like the title says, when i open some games, not all of them, the the resolution goes low for 1/2sec and while leaving the game too. The problem is that i've the game set to 1080p and my monitor too. This is very annoying because i've to move my desktop icons every time..
I've searched on the internet but all of them says to change te game to the monitor resolution, but that's what i got..
Any help would be good!

what kind of Graphics card do you have?

one work around could be to use fences

which power supply, motherboard and cpu is it?
Which Motherboard BIOS version is on it?

Lastest drivers installed, didn't work
PSU: XFX XT 500W
Mobo: MSI Z170-A PRO
CPU: I5-6500 3.2Ghz
The bios version i don't know

get into BIOS, while booting and use m-flash inside BIOS to update the BIOS, with the latest version on an usb flash drive

delete drivers with DDU uninstaller in safe mode and reinstall in normal mode

Did that and didn't work 🙁

Are you using VSR? this might help

I found another person with same problem in the last week so something is causing this that only started this year. I don't know if they have same GPU, depends on if they answer my question.

I don't know, I've formatted my pc recently, so i don't know.
My GPU: Radeon RX 480
Can you tell me who is the person with the same problem?

VSR = Virtual Super Resolution, its a setting in the Radeon drivers, and though your card and screen set to same resolutions, some games have settings to use it so might need to look in the games themselves and see if you can disable.

Its possible a new AMD driver update changed something.

this is other post about it but it holds no answers for you

I found out that is something to do with my monitor, because i've connected to my tv and worked fine.. I just got my monitor, and its connected via DisplayPort. I tried via HDMI worked fine..
Any thoughts how to make it work via DP because i only have 1 hdmi port and i use it on the tv? :s

Ok, i found out why this is happening. Happens when i've the hdmi port connected to my tv while using DisplayPort on my monitor. The weired part is that even with the TV turned off this happens, but when i unplugged it from my gpu it works fine.. And when i try openning a game on my tv with the monitor connected too, it works..
Any help? 🙁

I found a fix that seems to work fine: in AMD control panel > Display > Turn GPU scaling ON
