Does your resolution depend on how good your monitor? i am new to this

Basically it's the amount of pixels vertically and horizontally on a monitor/tv

How good it is? I mean i guess but not really. Resolution is how many pixels you have on your screen 1080p for example means you have 1920 pixels horizontally times 1080 pixels vertically. Here is a video that explains it in a bit more detail.

A monitor is made to be able to function with certain resolutions. For example, a full HD monitor or TV is meant for 1080p and that means a resolution of 1920x1080. That's 1920 pixels wide and 1080 pixels tall. A higher resolution can give you a sharper picture, so yes, better monitors are often higher resolutions. For example, a 4K monitor (usually 3840x2160) has a very high resolution and is almost always more expensive than 1080p monitor that is similar in other things such as size and color gamut. However, resolution is only a small part of what makes a monitor good or bad. Usually, even cheap monitors can have decent resolutions like 1080p.
