resolution exceeded in windows 7

hello friends. I have problem with resolution.
I am using DELL IN1910N(18.5) monitor who's maximum resolution is 1366x768. I have NVIDIA 9800GT 1GB DDR3 graphics card.
The problem is, in the screen resolution window it does not show me 1366x768 as a recommended resolution. Instead it show all the possible resolutions( max is 2560x1600). It shows me the resolution my monitor supports but it is also showing extra resolution which is problematic while playing games. Also it wont showing my display device name . Instead it show me "Generic Non-PnP monitor"
I detached my graphics card and plug the cable on my motherboard's slot ,, and it shows me 1366x768 as a recommended resolution with display showing DELL IN1910N. (fine)

Now the thing is while playing games it does not set resolution to 1366x768 instead it automatically sets to 1360x768. Because of that game does not look much better. When I tried to put it to 1366x768 it stops working.
One thing I also observe that my monitor supports screen refresh size up to 60Hertz and it actually shows me more the limit(max is 170Hertz). and i cannot tick or untick on Hide modes that this monitor can not display because it wont allow me to.
I try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers but it wont help. and installing .inf file of my monitor. but after installing .inf file it shows, in resolution window in the display section "Standard VGA adapter".
How i make window detect my monitor and recommended resolution?

Pretty simple really you have not installed the Nvidia graphics card driver for the 9800gt card.

All you have is the standard windows video driver.
When you install the Nvidia graphics driver it will detect the monitor and its resolutions capable of displaying.

click on the link bellow, download and install driver.

If you still get the problem it is because you are running two graphics chipsets.

Turn the on board off in the bios of the board.
Or set the Video interface mode to Pci-e first in the list. And save and exit the bios.

I have a driver version 331.82 installed. When i go to the bios it already did setting automatically. But nothing change.
