Hey guys I started playing Doom Eternal on the Bethesda program at 4k. It played with no problems for a while. Then I tried to start it up and the game only would freeze. So I uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled. Now when I open the game I went to go put it back in 4k. The only resultions in the box are: 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1152x864, and 1280x960. I didn' t change anything on my pc. I've never had this problem before.

Specs:

Windows 10 pro up to date, nvidia 1080ti, latest driver, Acer Nitro XV273k 4k monitor, I7-7700K, 16GB 3333mhz, MSI Z270 pc mate , samsung 860 pro evo ssd, 2tb hard drive, 800w psu

Solution
Bethesda recently tacked on some invasive Denuvo anti-cheat software to Doom Eternal post-launch that operates at the Windows kernel level, and has been apparently hurting performance and causing other issues for lots of people, so it wouldn't surprise me if your problems were related to that.

Do to widespread backlash, it's been announced that it's getting removed in the next version 1.1 update though.
