Question Resolution stuck at 640x480 after using HDMI switch

I recently bought an HDMI switch to use my ps4 and pc on the same monitor. When I plugged the HDMI cable in the monitor it Immediately downgraded the resolution to 640x480. I couldn't change it and the Resolution setting in Windows setting was greyed out. Even after unplugging the HDMI switch and going back to the normal HDMI cable it didn't work. I am still stuck on this. before using this switch the Monitor had no problem using 1080x

If you mean "in" the monitor, no it isnt, its a normal pc connected bc hdmi. Sorry I am not that good with pcs and may have misunderstood something
