to restore the e machines u turn it off.

then hold down alt and turn it back on.

hit F10 8 times

Keep in mind a system restore will wipe your hard-drive first, your documents, internet favorites, saved games, etc....

You may want to try a different account to logon. Try Administrator with no password. Also you can do a web search for bootable CDs that can reset passwords in Windows.
