I have an old pc which I want to re-purpose for a new AMD Ryzen X570 build. I want to keep costs down and reuse what I can instead of trashing everything.
This is not a gaming build but will use for light video editing.
I plan on using an x570 mobo, Ryzen 3700 or 3800 cpu, 1 x 1660 GPU

Here are the components:
CASE- ATX case with two front HDD bays and two DVD bays. ----> I think this will work.
CASE FAN - Coolermaster a12025-12cb-3bn-f1, 120 x 120 x 25 mm, 1,000 RPM ± 10%, 38.6 CFM ± 10%, 1.92W. I have a few of these which can be mounted.----> I think this will work.
ESATA CARD - Startech 1 Port PCIe eSATA II Controller Card - pi4003531x2a ----> I think this will work.
WIFI CARD - MSI PC60G Turbo G Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g 32bit PCI2.2 Up to 54Mbps Wireless Data Rates. This is just for backup as primary will be ethernet. ----> I'm not sure about this. Will PCI 2.2 work in the mobo?
COOLER - ZEROtherm BTF90 92mm Silent UFO CPU Cooler - 750 - 2500 ±10% RPM normally under 1500 RPM, Max 42.8 CFM, 92 x 92 x 25mm Heatsink Dimensions108 x 81 x 128mm(4.25" x 3.19" x 5.04") ----> I'm not sure about this. It doesn't seems like this is enough for the cpu. I know the 3700 has it's own cooler but haven't compared the specs yet.
STORAGE - I'm going to get mvne ssd for main storage but I have old hdds that I'd like to use or just access when I need to . I have two 7200 640 gb sata drives which should work fine. I I plan to use one for secondary storage of files. I also have a couple EIDE hdd which I'm going to need some kind of adapter to connect to sata. I'll use these sparingly just to access archived files or might just offload data and retire.
PSU - Antec 550W 80 plus modular. So I'm planning on running up to one 1660 gpu for now and I think this PSU will suffice for this setup. I actually might get two of these in which case I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a beefier PSU. ----> I think this will work for 1 GPU
ACCESSORIES - I have two EIDE DVD drives which I'd like to use. Again I probably need an adapter. ----> Will this work?

Ok so there you have it. Let me know your thoughts/advice/criticisms on this setup.

Ok so there you have it. Let me know your thoughts/advice/criticisms on this setup.

Overall I think most of your stuff will work fine. In the case of the 3700X - the stock cooler is fine if you don't plan to overclock (especially if you have a few case fans). The old ATX case should be no issue and that PSU will be ample for a single GPU.

The PCI wifi adapter won't fit a modern boards as they don't usually have any PCI slots these days. It is possible to get an PCIe - PCI adapter, however this will probably cost more than just investing in a PCIe wifi card instead. It's also worth looking at your motherboard choice as you can probably get an X570 board with integrated wifi anyways.

With respect to the old IDE drives - you can purchase adapters to convert IDE to sata which don't cost allot - probably the best bet for the optical drives. For the HDD's I'd suggest looking for an external IDE enclosure which you can hook up to the machine to recover the data. I have one for getting data off old IDE drives and it works really well. Given the access speeds I wouldn't recommend using an IDE drive in a modern system. If the drives are in good condition you might get some money back for them on the used market as lots of people are into building retro machines these days and given how unreliable hard disk drives are working IDE drives can be hard to get hold of nowadays.

Thanks for your input.
So, I did some more research.
PCPartsPicker is tells me the case may be too narrow. When I added my case with the Ryzen 3700 it said it may not fit. I had an Intel and a Zerotherm cooler in this case before and it had plenty of clearance. (Bought the PC from a trading PC system intergrator) I'm wondering if the Ryzen and the stock cooler would really be bigger.
Another warning it had for me was that the PSE doesn't contain an extra 4 pin ATX power source for the mobo. It indicated that it would still run but any extreme power consuming applications (another GPU or overclocking) might require it.
Mobo I'm considering - ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) ATX . Was also looking at ASUS Prime X570-Pro as secondary.
