Question Retention arm

Is it okay for the retention arm to touche the motherboard when you are pressing it down so that it touches the motherboard?

Retention arms are found on a lot of things even 3D printed fan mounts. What re you referring to? An AIO's retention arm or an air cooler's retention arm? Mae and model of the AIO/air cooler and the make and model of your motherboard...?
