Retrieving pictures from old hard drive

How can I get pictures off of an old hard drive. Ribbit Computer installed a new hard drive and said
they could not retrieve anything off of my old one. Where to go, what to do?

First test the drive with "SeaTools for Windows" to see if there are any problems reported:

Use the Long/Extended test for thorough testing.
