[SOLVED] retro agp graphics card recommendations

Hello, I’ve recently been looking for a retro agp graphics card for my pentium 4 system (2.4ghz 1gb ddr ). I have an offer of 30$ for a used Radeon 9600 pro I’m not to sure if this is a good deal? I would like to find something for as cheap as possible less than $30 preferably, any recommendations?

9600 pro is not great, even for 30 bucks. Check eBay and your local electronics recycler.
They usually will let you rummage all their old scrap for next to nothing.

6600 from NV will be a good card

If you can help it look for a 9800 xt or pro, which you can simply flash into an xt.

Also get as much ram as you can, single channel or dual it does t !after very much with these older systems, more ram is better than dual channel back them
The one I’m looking at is only 128mb I found a GeForce 6600 with 256 mb would that be a better choice?
Yeah, the ATI Radeon 9600Pro was a pretty decent card for it's time. With just a couple of exceptions, AGP cards topped out with 256MB of VRAM. Probably not wanting to go less than that.
