Returning to factory condition

I am returning my hp 15-p263nr to hp due to a broken screen. Its broke in half. The left side is black(no pic). The right side is working. I am trying to reset it back to fhe factory condition. I would also like to save anything important that I might have forgotten. I don't believe there is anything that i need however. I would really like to return it back to the factory condition in case of card numbers, passwords, etc. Can this be done with just half of the screen working? HP is replacing the screen so I will get it back. i just don't want to take that chance. In the paperwork HP sent me, it recommended to reset the computer as well. Thanks.

Have you tried it?
Or, you could hook up an external monitor.

Agreed. Hooking up an external monitor, of even to a hd tv. Would be your best bet.
