I am building a new PC and I would like to reuse my old hard drives. I have 1 ssd with windows installed and 1 hdd as a secondary drive, they are fairly new and it would be a waste to buy 2 new hard drives.
how do I wipe them completely so I can just do a clean install in my new PC ?

Solution
For Windows install, just fit one drive to your new PC to start with (presumably this will be the SSD).

Boot from Windows install media and you can reformat, delete partitions or create new partitions on the SSD prior to commencing with Windows installation.

When Windows is up and running, shut down and fit the secondary HDD, then start Windows again.

Go to Disk Management and perform desired operations on the HDD.

Job done.
