Hello,

I recently upgraded my nvme on my desktop. When I try to access the old nvme over a USB I get errors 'Incorrect Function'. The old nvme works perfectly when installed on the motherboard. I have done the basics (checking the enclosure, updating driver etc etc). Wanted to know how I can reuse the old Nvme over USB

Thanks

I have personally turned a few old SSD's into thumb drives; you need to ensure that it is formatted properly. If you took the drive straight from your system and threw it into an enclosure, when you plug it in, it will still be running the protocols as if it was an OS drive. If you cannot format it over USB, then you may need to plug it back into your system in a spare NVME slot to completely wipe and re-format it. Hope this helps, take care.
