Revamp of build - all from ebuyer, need some input :D

hey, as you may well know i have been slowly changing my PC build over the last few weeks trying to get it right.
I have finally found one place with nice prices from which i can buy everything I need.

So before i ask some questions here is the build itself:

And so the questions:

1) Will that PSU handle the system and the GFX card?
2) Is that gfx card worth it? My budget for a card is approx £150, if you can find a better one it would be appreciated
3) will my CPU come with a fan?

1. Yes, it should be fine. I would only worry about it if you start adding more components, but even then it should be ok.

2. The x1950 is a good card, the only way I would suggest a different card would be if you were choosing it for a specific game. That might change things a bit. But overall, it is a good choice.

3. As long as the CPU is a retail box version and not OEM or Open-Box, it will come with a heatsink.

The parts look good, but, if you are going to OC, you might want to consider an aftermarket HSF....

As for the power supply, it should be fine, if you have any doubts:

Downgrade to a E6400 and use the money on 2GBs memory instead and go for the 7200.10 with 16MB cache HDD. As for the GPU it might be worth it to get one for $200 or less so you can upgrade to a DX10 card soon.

Well I have got 2gb memory, note the 2x2x512. As for the HDD cache, how will that effect me? i am genuinely interested in the effects it will have.

and the gfx card thing i did consider, but the DX10 cards are so expensive, so i would be likely to get one when they drop in price and in about xmas time. therefore i need a card that will do the job for unextortionate amounts of money until i get a card that floors all others lol.

What changes will the HDD make?

1= you should have no problems with powering that card. One thought is why are you buying high end equipment cpu motherboard gfx; but you are skipping on the powersupply??? I am not saying the watts are not enough but the overall workmanship of that powersupply is not up to par with your gfx and motherboard.
2=sounds like you already did your price hunting.
3=with out a link there is no way to tell. you can also try calling the seller to find out.

That is an AGP card and don't get it... you have a PCIe Mobo.

If anyone is unsure just google X1950 AGP and you will find them... and they are cheaper than thier PCIe counterparts.

Same card in PCIe is about $80 more...

The extra 8MBs of cache will increase the hard drives performance and the 7200.10 uses perpendicular recording which is better. As for the video card i'm sure you will be able to buy a DX10 one for under $200 in 6 months.

thanks, I am pretty sure the gfx card is pci-e. and as to the PSU, can you find some or recommend some from EBuyer? because it has been my greatest downfall in all my builds.

You haven't mentioned a few things;

1) What games you play (examples / genre)
2) What monitor will you be using & what resolution do you game at.
3) What are the main uses of the pc (ie gaming, desktop apps, encoding ,etc)
4) Do you plan to overclock?
5) Whats your budget?

These are critical when selecting a build- I cant really give input untill I know what your going to use it for.

In terms of UK suppliers, ebuyer are good. I would also look at Scan, Microdirect and Overclockers- although the latter I only tend to use for stuff the others dont carry.

Edit: You may be interested to know that ebuyer's sale starts noon tomorrow (gmt).

It appears it is an AGP card from the reviews on ebuyer

This is the card you will more likely want.
GECUBE X1950Pro 512MB GDDR3 DVI PCI-E
At 139.99 including VAT it is cheaper than the apg version.
The product ID from ebuyer is 119303=pci-e and one you had was 119300=agp

As for the processor I dont see any reviews stating it doesnt but you should call them to make sure it is a retail box and not a white box set.

As for a power supply I would say something like the Antec Earthwatts
Antec EarthWatts 500W 80%+ Efficiency PSU - 80mm Fan 4x SATA 2x PCI-E

or for something a little nicer
Seasonic S12-550E+ 80Plus 550W PSU - Active PFC

These are just recommendation for a little bit better than you were choosing. To get a better over all build, Surferosa questions would better help us help you.
