Hi all,
I'm looking to build a PC to mainly use for programming (C#, Java, etc). I've built what I think is a solid parts list, but want some feedback from more experienced minds. I would also like to use it for gaming, but won't be purchasing a graphics card for a few months at least. I am also planning to overclock in the future so will need some advice on a solid CPU cooler.
I will have to purchase an OS as well... not sure whether to stick with Windows 7 or go with Windows 8.
My budget is $1500 for now, and as you can see I need pretty much everything minus a GPU and cooler at the moment. Here's my parts list:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($137.99 @ NCIX US)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($129.29 @ Amazon)
Storage: OCZ Vertex 4 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($134.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Wireless Network Adapter: Rosewill RNX-N250PCe 802.11b/g/n PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi Adapter ($17.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Thermaltake Urban S71 ATX Full Tower Case ($123.71 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: SeaSonic 520W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply ($79.99 @ Newegg)
Optical Drive: LG GH24NS95 DVD/CD Writer ($17.99 @ Newegg)
