Parts Preferences: Intel CPU, no preference otherwise as long as it's reliable

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe (probably not in my initial budget)

Your Monitor Resolution: (e.g.: 1680x1050 currently, but will probably get better monitors at some point)

Additional Comments: I've done a bit of research and have selected something that feels pretty good on newegg. I haven't built a computer from scratch since I was a kid (about 15 years ago) so I just wanted to have someone check my work and make sure everything looks ok. Do I need anything else? I'm happy with these components, but can I spend a bit more on something and get a lot better value or spend a bit less and get 90%?

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Currently doing my work and trying to play games on a 4-5 year old laptop which just doesn't cut it. Do a variety of miscellaneous IT related stuff for my job and I work remotely. Web dev, misc programming, sql stuff, etc - I generally have a lot of stuff running at the same time on a dual monitor set up and don't want performance to suffer because of it. I also want to check out Diablo 3

Comes out to about $800, which seems fine. One more question would be whether it's worth it to shop around for the best price on each component, but I assume Newegg is a pretty decent way to go for everything.

i suggest better gpu and a corsair psu but 550-600 i think its enough.....

The only thing that needs to be changed is RAM. You will need an aftermarket cooler for CPU, suggest CoolerMaster Hyper 212Evo. In order to avoid clash, with cooler, you should use low profile RAM, like, GSKill Ares, Crucial Ballistix Sport, or Corsair CML.
Power supply is virtually enough for two HD6870s. Assuming you are not planning on that 600w is plenty.
If budget will stretch, it's worth getting HD7850, or even HD7870. If you ARE thinking of possible crossfire, in the future, either use more efficient 7 series GPU, or might suggest up-ing PSU to 850w.
