This mouse has always had a special place in my heart. I've never found anything even remotely close in terms of comfort and ergonomics. The old Mx1000 was pretty nice too, but the G700s has all bases covered with the exception of reliability. The ergo's are so insanely good for medium-sized hands. Free-spinning mouse-wheel is crucial in some games. Forward/Back actually directly above thumb- apparently something only <1% of mice engineers get right.
If there are any G700s lovers out there, I'm sure I don't have to go into detail about the technical issues. I'm just here hoping to find any advice from more technically literate users on whether there is any hope in rectifying or alleviating the right-click issue?
I'm currently using mine wired and unaffiliated with any software, as from memory the software was half the problem with this mouse. The mouse works pretty well but the right-click misses a beat and doesn't like click-dragging.
The laser is actually by modern standards surprisingly good. Tracks well on fast rough mats unlike most other mice.
I'd like to ask if anyone has been successful in replacing the click switches, And if so which switches can be used?
