Resolution scale should typically be at 1:1 or 100% I would think.

If you want some increase in FPS in BF4 you can lower AA a little bit, but if that doesn't help it is likely your CPU that is holding you back. Frostbite does like a lot of cores.

WoW is typically CPU bound. I generally ran it at 60hz just for consistency and a weird audio problem at the time with high refresh rates. Seemed to be a WoW exclusive of Nvidia/High Frame rates/Sound input. You could actually hear the GPU through audio output to other players, but not experience the problem locally.

Actually you are right.
My CPU hits 90-100% load playing WOW with twitch (watching not streaming) and always when playing something like DOOM.
and a 100% all day long with BF4

Why its on 100% load :S this is a 7th gen CPU 😛
I overclocked to 4.8 Ghz like you said but the Temps are good, 60 Maximum during gaming

Sounds about right. It is a mid-grade CPU, there are two classes of CPU above that from Intel.

The key here is that you can only make significant gains with hyperthreading or more cores. Getting a quad core i7 is an okay cost/benefit, still expensive. Proper solution for maximum FPS is to get a more expensive x99 board and a 6 core i7 for nearly twice the total cost.

With luck you can ride this CPU out for a year or so. Intel is expected to release a 6 core i7 for the Z270 platform for their 8th gen CPUs.
