Hey guys, so i recently bought an AIO (MSI Core Liquid 240r) and wanted to be able to control the rgb on the head and the fans. Now, the MSI third party program doesnt detect their own product (which made me very angry) so i decided to install the Asrock Polycgrome RGB program which allows you to directly control the RGB from it (link: https://download.asrock.com/Utility/RGB/PolychromeRGB(v1.0.93).zip). Now to my actual problem, whenever the PC turns off, the rgb lights stay on, despite me disabling the option from the BIOS (Turn on onboard LED in S5 is set to DISABLED). I tried uninstalling the program and restarting the PC more than 5 times and it the lights still seems to stay on. What could possibly be the Problem? Any suggestions and fixes?

P.S I tried unplugging the header and plugging it back in, didnt make a difference. Also completely diconnecting the PSU was also fail.

Specs:

Asrock B450 Pro4
Ryzen 5 3600
Gtx 1080
750 Watt Gigabyte

MSI app will work ONLY on MSI motherboard. It will not work on AsRock board.

And that will only work if your AIO is listed as compatible with Polychrome - which it being from MSI I doubt. The effect of trying to run it on non-compatible parts is unpredictable and may very well be the reason what is happening.

Hey, sounds like a very reasoable explanaition. What would you suggest as a fix?

Well, I'm not sure if there is any fix. Uninstalling Polychrome should have done the trick - unless there is some hidden process left that keeps the lights on in which case full Windows reinstall might help to get rid of all traces of Polychrome. Other then that I don't really know what could help.
