Question RGB Header Compatibility & ASUS Rog Addressable Led Strip HELP!

I recently bought the ROG Addressable LED Strip (Asus), and then i noticed that i need a motherboard with 3 pins. My motherboard has 4, Do i need to return this strip or is it possible to connect it anyway? I'm new to PC building so i had to ask before i remove 1 pin so i can put the cable in the RGB header. Will removing one pin from RGB header be dangerous and stupid? Any ideas? Help fast thanks 😀

they arent compatible, and if u connect it u can damage it, mainboard will send 12volts to you rgb strip, your strip is designed for 5volts, and wiring is different
