Hi! I recently upgraded my motherboard and cpu and kept the cooler. The motherboard is an ASUS B760M and the program is Armoury Crate.

In the first place the fan worked somehow but then I disconected the fan, plugged it back in and since then it hasn’t worked , if i start gaming after 30-40 mins the light show up but only static, and another trick that worked was on/off with Armoury Crate.

it’s plugged in correctly and it worked just fine with the other motherboard , and I certainly know the RGB is functional. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Armoury Crate.

Any advice?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Did you disconnect the fan while the system was powered up and running?

I would uninstall Armory Crate using the uninstaller on the motherboard's support site, though;
the motherboard it’s a b760m from ASUS
Doesn't help narrow down the motherboard. You've includes the make of the board and a partial model of the board. Please include the model for the board. Speaking of which, did you reinstall the OS after the motherboard swap?

BIOS version for your motherboard?

it worked just fine with the other motherboar
Make and model of your other board?

hi! Yes I disconnected the cable while the pc was running to do a better cable management
The boards are : -old : ASUS TUF z390-plus gaming
New- ASUS prime B760M-A Wi-Fi ddr4 bios 1663
In the first place the Os recognised ASUS tuf z390 even tho it was swapped already and in the pc was b760
Reinstalled recognised b760 but in that instance the rgbs are working only on the ram stick
I tryed to unplug the cable and plug it again but nothing only sometimes after a couple of minutes it show up a color and stay static
I tryed with a hub but the colours are not rgb but it works
I only think of a bios update
The uninstalled and reinstalled version seems to do nothing
Or some power problems …idk in this instance

Which header did you hook the CPU cooler's fan to? You can update the BIOS to the latter version which I see listed as version 1805, then clear the CMOS and then see if that helps.

Asus have an uninstaller for Armory Crate;
https://www.asus.com/motherboards-c...esk_download?model2Name=PRIME-B760M-A-WIFI-D4
and see if a reboot, then manually reinstalling the app helps.

Out of curiosity, what processor did you migrate to after getting the B760 chipsetted motherboard listed above?
