Hello.
I want to control the lights from my fans.
I've been told that i shouldnt connect the rgb fan pin to the rgb mobo header.
I found the cooler master sppliter rgb 3x1.
Do this work with any fan? I have 3 sp120 and one ml120. If i could control at least the ml120 without buying the lightning node pro or commander it would be useful.
Any tips to control de ml120 lights? Thanks.
I also have the hub from corsair 460x csse. But the buttons doesnt change ml120 colors.

Solution
You do need the Lighting Node Pro. And another RGB LED Fan Hub. You'll also be able to control the SP fans with the LNP as well - no more push button controller.
With Corsair RGB fans, it's interesting since you'll need Corsair RGB Fan LED Hub for both fans, SP RGB and ML Pro RGB, while you can connect only same model fan to the LED hub, needing to have 2x LED hubs, one for SP RGB and 2nd for ML Pro RGB. What makes it interesting is that while SP RGB fans are controlled with LED hub + Button Controller; ML RGB fans are controlled with LED hub + Lightning Node Pro.

To put the somewhat confusing text into image, i'm thinking of this:

I wonder, would it work? Since both fans (SP RGB and ML Pro RGB) need LED hub to operate and LED hub is compatible with Lightning Node Pro and Button Controller as well. But since i don't have Corsair RGB fans in use, i can't test it out.

I believe there's a slightly simpler way to use the Corsair products for OP. We have to assume here that OP's fans specifically are one ML120 Pro RGB LED and three SP120 RGB LED units. What Aeacus has shown in the diagram above is the right way with a small change for OP's particular situation. I don't think the second RGB Fan LED Controller is necessary to connect the single ML120 Pro RGB fan. It can plug directly into one of the output ports of the Lighting Node Pro. As I read the Corsair website, the Lighting Node Pro can be used with both SP and ML lines of RGB fans, but not with their HD line because the latter type is a different RGB system (ADDR RGB). Other than that small note, what Aeacus says is the right way to go. It puts all the fans under software control using Corsair's LINK or iCue software through the Lighting Node Pro, and even allows the two fan groups to have different lighting effects.

OP still needs 2x LED Hubs since from the link OP found, there's stated:

5. You can NOT mix fan types on the Corsair RGB Fan LED Hub.
11. RGB fans will NOT work plugged directly in to the Lighting Node Pro or Commander Pro, you MUST use the Corsair RGB Fan LED Hub which then Plugs into a Commander Pro or Lighting Node Pro.

The second fan hub is, in this case, absolutely required.

The SP-RGB fans use a completely, totally different protocol than the rest of the fans and strips in the Corsair RGB system. So ... while you can get away with mixing HD, LL and ML on the same hub (even though iCue won't let you configure them that way), you cannot get away with that and SP-RGB fans.

Everything *except* the SP-RGB fans uses WS2812B ... I can't recall off the top of my head the protocol for the SP fans but that ain't it.

EDIT: SP-RGB fans use UCS1903 LED controllers.

Yeah, Zotty put that in there because that's the "official" line from Corsair. And you can't configure multiple fan types on a single channel in iCue or Link. You can, however, mix LL, HD and ML on the same channel (I have). You can even, if you're feeling particularly adventurous, chain RGB strips to a Fan Hub - I actually have a channel running like that right now (4 strips to 6 ML-RGB fans).

But the SPs are a no-go. Totally different protocol.

I stand corrected. I missed an important detail to start with. It appears the Lighting Node Pro is actually a 3-pin ADDR RGB system that cannot feed a 4-pin plain RGB lighting device directly. So of course an intermediate device like the RGB Fan LED Controller is needed to feed those particular RGB devices by Corsair. But on top of that, as you have said, the SP120 devices are of a different design and cannot be mixed with others on the same RGB Fan LED Controller. So Aeacus' original diagram is exactly right.

Yes, the Fan Hub is there to provide power to the fans (6 LL Fans would blow the fuse on the a single lighting channel) and to pass the signal from one fan to the other ... otherwise, you'd have to daisy-chain the fans from one to the next. If you're careful and creative with the cables, you can make it work but it's not for the faint of heart. Nor is it supported. Part numbers for the connectors can be found at http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=174759.

Here's my actually situation, i'll try to explain better:

I have the case Corsair Crystal 460x; it has 3 SP RGB + Command Hub + Led HUB.

I've bought one ML120 Rgb Pro separately, to use in the back of the case (this one fan doesn't have lightning node pro, or any hub, just the Fan)

When i plug into the Command Hub, the fan stay completely white and bright (as all the leds stays on). When i press the button on the Led Hub nothing happens to the ML120, just to the SP120 ones.

So, reading this post and the official one from corsair i assuming that i really need the Lightning Node Pro to control the lights for the ML120 right?
Unfortanely i have to buy the Lightning Node Pro...

Thank you all for the feedbacks!
