I wasn't interested in RGB et al. Have no understanding about RGB. But have ended up with these products and a case which have RGB:

  1. Asus ROG Strix Z490-E Gaming Motherboard
  2. Asus ROG Strix RTX 2070 o8G Gaming GPU
  3. be quiet 500DX

I just finished my build, but am waiting for a couple of other items before starting up. Before firing it up, I want to see what is possible.

My case manual says that it has:
  • RGB LED illumination
  • Front end ARGB/Internal ARGB

Motherboard manual says:
  • 2x RGB Strip headers
  • 2x Aura RGB Strip headers

I am assuming I can connect the case's RGB end point to the motherboard's ARGB port?? Or something like that.
And I know Aura is some software from Asus. So what is the 2x Aura RGB Strip header for? How can I connect it to my case?

Thanks.

Solution
The Aura is another term for an RGB header for Aura lighting strips. The ARGB is self explanatory. The ARGB components connect to the ARGB header, the RGB components connect to the RGB header.
