Hey guys,

So I built my computer recently and I'd really like to add some more RGB colour to it (currently I have the RGB on the case but I was hoping to have some which I could control via software so I have more than solid colour). I have a phanteks P300 case and an Asus B350-Plus motherboard and was hoping to add some phanteks Halos and a phanteks LED strip. The problem is I don't know if I have a compatible Asus Aura Sync header and if I don't, I was looking at phanteks RGB controller. But, again, I don't know if I have a compatible header to enable Aura Sync or if it possible to control it from software through a sata connection to the motherboard.

Just in case it helps, my specs are:
Phanteks P300 (which has an RGB button on the case)
Asus Prime B350-Plus
Ryzen 1600
16GB ram
MSI 750ti (which I plan to upgrade to a MSI 1060/1070 GAMING X when prices fall)
and a very cheap powersupply (that I hope won't catch fire!!)

Anyway, this is my first thread so I greatly appreciate all the help!

I ran into a similar problem. I have a NZXT H700i and am using an Aorus AX370 Gaming K7. I bought some Phanteks Halos for my fans, installed them, but couldn't plug them in because I couldn't find the right adapters for the motherboard headers. A few weeks passed and I found it. Check out this and let me know if this is what you're looking for. Also, Phanteks' webpage for the Halos says they're compatible with Aura Sync, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

So I can use the RGB header which is 12v according to the manual and i have also successfully installed AI Suite 3 which allows me to control the RGB for the RGB on the cooler (which I don't have). Does this 12v RGB header support aura sync or is it just set colours as it is with my case?

Yes. However, be advised that you're going to have several RGB programs running at the same time. I have NZXT's CAM software for my AIO cooler, as well as Aorus RGB Fusion for the motherboard and G. Skill's Software for my RAM. The motherboard software will control the halo colors.

NOTE: Double check that you have a 4 pin RGB header. I have both a 4 pin and a 5 pin (the 5 pin includes white). The adapter cable DID NOT FIT the 5 pin header.
