For what it's worth (and even tho' I'm not African American),
back when, once Denis and Carmen had SOMEWHAT re-
covered from the beating they took from GW (and finally
had gotten the rules (TACTICAL STRIKE,) developed here
in the newsgroups almost exclusively (with the help of a
select few MUCH more than others), into first print (I still
have the copy they sent me gratis)), they tried getting back
into business with a VERY small release of an initial 5-man
(although some men were women <G>) squad of troopers,
the Sergeant (of course) of which was ME (although I'd been
reverse-Watermelon Manned)! I'll never ever paint him -- he
is <sob> just much too precious for the sentimental value.

I for one quite miss Enigma -- At least they tried to keep
alive something like Squats, and while they might not have
been the best looking minis ever produced, the price was
unbeatable, and I bought and modified tons of Storm Mar-
ines <G> with GW shoulder pads, arms and backpacks
(and mostly Demonblade or Warzone weapons), and field-
ed em by the TONS back in the day.... My wife's Tactical
Squad of Space Marines to this day is a squad of the con-
versions done up in Mauve, Blue, and blacklining <G>.
AND... AFFORDABLE PRICES! AND AND they actually
listened to my (and back then, other's) constant bitching
and yelling about BUYING MINIS FIRST, THEN RULES
TO SUPPORT THEM!). Sigh... Most of those still around
from then (a mere handful) now are the *leaders* and *reg-
ulars* of the group.... Ah, what it was like back when
there was ALWAYS lots to talk about (I posted a LOT
back then -- Bear remembers me (I abused our friendship
ruthlessly to get 'im to drop a few bucks from more than a
few of his ubiquitous online sales <G>), but probably no
more than a couple of the other *old crowd*....

Boy, did this posting throw me into a purdy bleak ol'
mood of days gone forever! <sigh some more>

Hey, at least I had the pleasure of having a mini named
after me! <strut, preen, etc.> ;-)

So there, you bunch of poser wanna-be *regulars*!
