Ripping DVD's

Well I learned how to rip a dvd to your hard drive but is there a program where you can put them back on a cd in the original file format? Basically, I would like to copy a dvd for my own personal use.

well a dvd is mpeg2, which is quit large to put on a cd, but you can use divx to compress or you can convert it to mpeg4 and then put it on a cd. or if you really want to keep the original file format you have to put it back on a dvd with a dvdram.

one more thing you can do is break the vob files into two or three small parts so you could put them on a bunch of cds.
