Rocket Raid 2720 + SFF8087

Hi all,

So I bought the Rocket Raid 2720SGL. My motherboard is the unrevised Asus P8P67. Anyway, I have a 570GTX running in the main PCI slot and in the 2nd PCI slot, I have placed this raid card. It boots up no bother but it doesn't detect any drives. I think I have the right SAS cable to connect to these drives... This is the cable I am using:

LSI / Molex 79576-3003 Internal MiniSAS SFF-8087 to (4) 7-Pin SATA SAS Fanout Cable

Anyway, I know there is some sort of reverse cable too... Not sure if that is the right one though. Any ideas why my card isn't detecting the drives?

You have a correct cable. Just make sure the 8087 is connected firmly to the connector

it is firmly connected... Need to try again I suppose perhaps with a different motherboard ?

Would the settings of the actual bios affect the card because the card actually boots up in the initial screen

Hmmm
The card boots and show up its BIOS ==> System sees HBA
In the BIOS of the card there is NO drives ==> HBA does not see drive
Possibility.

1_ Wrong 8087 cable
2_ HDD does not have power
3_ BAD HBA
