I'm considering buying a new gpu but got no clue with how much of an increase in performance I'm looking at compared to cash invested.

I'm playing games like total war warhammer 2, vermintide 2, played a bit of the latest hitman and occasionally do some multiplayer like pupg, cs and other shooters. also doing some men of war assault squad and other strategy games. My 970 is stilling doing "ok" - but figured it's time to throw in an upgrade and thought upgrading the gpu would be the best course of action, if an upgrade would actually bring me anything good :)

I haven't considered a new screen yet, so guess i'm currently stuck at 1080p. There's a tiny price difference between those cards but it's nothing great - 3800 dkr, and 4000 dkr respectively.
Ever since going Rog Strix I've been a fan both due to silence and cooling, but if there's a better deal I'm happy to consider it.
2070 https://www.pricerunner.dk/pl/37-47...070-8GB-ROG-STRIX-GAMING-OC-Sammenlign-Priser

2060 https://www.pricerunner.dk/pl/37-50...G-STRIX-RTX2060S-O8G-GAMING-Sammenlign-Priser

so it's between the rog strix 2060s oc, and a standard rog strix 2070 og 2070oc

I did look at 1660 cards but they are almost same price here in denmark as the 2060, if you can find one...

Below are my spec's - it's bought in 2015 and has done great - not sure if anything else is in dire need of an upgrade though, so any tips here is welcome as well :)

24 ASUS Skærm (1ms), VN247H
i7 6700K (4.0ghz-4.2ghz)
Z170 PRO GAMING (7.1 DTS, SLI Sup)
650W 80+ G650M (MODULAR) COOLERMASTER
16GB-DDR4RAM
GTX970-4GB rog strix
500GB SSD (SAMSUNG 850 EVO)

All of it, besides the screen, is put inside a Fractal Design Define R6 Black if I'm not mistaken.

its around 5-10% faster then the 2060 super
It's not that much. It's not even 3% faster. 2070 Super vs 2060 Super has a difference of almost 10%.

Be careful, the first link has pictures of Asus DUAL 2070 and some of the ROG Strix 2070. Make sure that it is indeed the ROG Strix version and not the DUAL.
Super versions are newer while non super versions are 1 year old already. I would buy the cheapest one unless the price is almost identical so 2070 would be best performance-wise.

Thanks for chipping in everyone - now that black friday is over, the 1660 TI are back for some reason...

Just found out that I can get this for 2700 - compared to the 2060 super OC(3800) and a standard 2070 for 4000. all of them Rog Strix(the 2070 is non super or OC)
I'm not bothered by ray tracing and I'm gaming 1080p - Not sure which is best option for me, to last 3-5 years at least :)
