Question Rog Strix X470 gamimg-f Ryzen 3700x

Hiz trying a new build from scratch using Asus Rog Strix X470 gaming f motherboard and a ryzen 7 3700x cpu, when i power up the unit I see lights om mobo, gpu card, cpu fan starts but stops after 5 seconds, and bios doesnt load up, no display is shown, can it be that x470 wont boot up for the first time with a ryzen 3700x? And i have to update bios before?

yes. you have to update BIOS for x470 boards to work with Ryzen 3000
