er, somewhere. I lived in both keighley and Bradford for a fair while,
not too far from your hometown

:O) I think you'll love Europe. I've never been to the mainland but
even our little island is worth the visit. You will be struck with how
different each country is.

What a pitty Paul, never been on the mainland?
With Durham Airport near you you should have a look at Ryanair to have a
flight to Rome.
But be advised, don't rent a car use pubblic transport instead. Or if
you're some kind of fearless British Knight you could consider to rent a
bike or scooter. Any other means of transportation in Rome would drive
you crazy ;-)
And if you wan't some kind of GTA feeling, have a trip south and go to
visit Napoli. One of the most beautifull cities around. But reckless
drivers, pickpockets, scam artists of any species will prove your street
wiseness ;-)

Thanks for the nudges. The wife and I keep sort of planning something
then bottling it. We have a ferry terminal just down the road so we
could get to places like Norway quite easily and in fact my sister
once offered to pay our way as long as we brought back a lot of duty
frees :O)

hmmm .... but there's no GTA feeling in Norway ;-)
Let's see ....
Ryanair - Durham Tees Valley (MME) - Rome Ciampino (CIA)
Departure 01.05.05 20.00 - Arrival 23.55 Flight 9656
Ryanair - Rome Ciampino (CIA) - Durham Tees Valley (MME)
Departure 05.05.05 17.40 - Arrival 19.35 Flight 9655
Total Cost 29.63 GBP per person. A train trip to London would cost at
least 64.00 GBP!

No passport needed only Idenitiycard.

Rome at springtime ...... good food, good wine, good clothes .........
If you go with your wife you should take some extra cash with you, since
the femals are reaction in an strange way to the offerings in all those
shops. But after a shoping trip in Via Condotti she will love you to
pieces ;-)

Thanks ghost! We will do it, even if I have to overcome my fear of
flying, some day. But what's this about the identity card? anyway,
aren't they more expensive than passports?

Become a Mod maybe? Got to keep the British end up, as James Bond would
say.

It certainly can't be worse than Luton. If Rockstar need to shock even
more people, they should do the next installment there.

Personally, I'd really love to see video-game teenagers sniffing glue on
the backs of buses and shoplifting just for kicks....
