I would be grateful for any help on burining roms. Obviously I am new
at this. I am just playing around with my Arlabs AR32A programmer that
I just bought. I am trying to burn a new 28C16A eeprom for my qix.

The question is what file do I need to burn. I have lk10.bin, u10, and
u10.rmb files from the zip file and files for other rom sets. I tried
burning the lk10.bin and it told me that it needed two eeproms.
Thanks,
Daniel

I appreciate your help. I bought a 28C16 to play around with until I
get an eraser.

There are actually 4 different rom sets for Qix.

I'm note sure of the gameplay difference between
the first 3 sets, but the 4th one is actually Qix 2
which is an upgraded version of Qix.

The roms set are as follows :
Qix (Set 1)
u4
u5
u6
u7
u8
u9
u10
u12
u13
u14
u15
u16
u17
u18
u19
u27

Qix (Set 2)
qu3
qu4
qu5
qu7
qu8
qu9
qu10
qu12
qu13
qu14
qu16
qu17
qu18
qu19
u27

Qix (Set 3)
lk10.bin
lk11.bin
lk12.bin
lk13.bin
lk14.bin
lk15.bin
lk16.bin
lk17.bin
u27

Qix II
u3.rmb
u4.rmb
u5.rmb
u6.rmb
u7.rmb
u12.rmb
u13.rmb
u14.rmb
u15.rmb
u16.rmb
u17.rmb
u18.rmb
u19.rmb

Each of the "10" chip you mention is part of a different set.
I'm not sure that you can mix and match them.
You need to burn the correct chip for the chip set you have.
If you're not sure which set you have,
simply take an existing EPROM and compare it
to the various binary files

Also note that Set 3 uses 4K files so these won't fix on 2716 chips (2K).
(this is why lk10.bin won't fit on a 2716)
You need a 2732, a 4K chip (...or is it 2532 ? ).

I also noticed that you are using a 28C16.
This is an EEPROM (..Electrically erased EPROM ).
The original game used 27xxx chips.
I believe the pinouts should be the same between 27xxx and 28xxx,
but the programming is certainly different.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Steph
