Rotating my Cooler Master Evo

Hey guys so I'm having a small issue. When I installed my cooler master evo 212 I did it in what looked to be the most applicable way. This leaves the long side of the cooler parallel to the top and bottom of the case. My temps aren't terrible but I feel as if blowing the air up instead of out definitely doesn't help. Also this configuration is blocking two of my ram slots which really hurts my expansion possibilities.

I'm just looking for a way to rotate my evo. Is it possible.

Mobo is Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0

Take the cooler off, remove the retention bracket, rotate cooler 90 degrees after you put on new paste, put it back on facing the rear. The EVO is a multidirectional cooler.

Does the fan pull or push air also?

The fan pushes air across the heatsink, there is a little arrow indicating airflow on top of the fan.

Have it blow across towards the back and the rear exhaust fan, it may sit slightly over the DRAM slots but the fan(s) are height adjustable, so that shouldn't be a problem 😉
