Do any other devices have the same problem? Try another computer via the same router port. Try your computer on another router port. See if the problem follows the computer or stays with the router's port.

Start by trying a known working Ethernet cable between your router and PC.

What network adapter are you using: MB built in Ethernet adapter, USB/Ethernet adapter, or PCIe Ethernet adapter?

Make sure that whatever adapter is being used is fully and securely in place. As for USB adapters, carefully feel yours before gaming and keep checking as you play. If the USB adapter gets overly warm or even hot then the USB adapter may be the issue.

Could be that the network adapter is starting to fail - warms up with use, expands, and...

Could be that the network adapter is starting to fail - warms up with use, expands, and some inter-connectivity is lost.

Do make sure that there are no power saving functions turned on. They should not turn off the adapter while in use but maybe some buggy code is at fault - or some combination of factors causing the same end result.

Try the above suggestions but only try one thing at a time. Be methodical and be sure to allow at least (if not more) than 15 minutes to determine if the problem continues or stops.
