So I was trying to enable some ports for my PS4, especially for a game to turn the NAT Type from Strict to Open. I have a CBN CH6541 I got the port numbers and the protocols and followed the steps from the website portforward.com I gave my PS4 a static IP and also enabled UPnP on my router. I entered the ports and the static IP I gave my PS4, but once I check the "Enabled" box, the router page refreshes but the Enabled box is unchecked. What can I do? Please Help!
P.S: I don't a private IP, My ISP gives the same IP to everyone (192.168.0.1)

This sounds like a software issue then. Have you tried a factory reset or system update and then trying to port forward?
Well, first of all, the 192.168.0.1 is your gateway. This IP is never allowed to leave your internal network. It is the end of your own network, so to say. This is nothing out of the ordinary.

For the not activating the port forward, it may be due to faulty configuration of port numbers or TCP UDP protocol. Can you give more details about the ports you are trying to forward?

Thanks for the answer! I was trying to say what my ISP explained to me. They told me I don't have a private IP. As for the faulty protocol I don't think that is the case. I can gove you an example of a protocol I entered
Start: 80 End: 80 Protocol: TCP IP: 192.168.120(static IP that I gave my PS4)
Or Start: 443 End: 443 Protocol: TCP IP: 192.168.120

Well, TCP port 80 is HTTP and TCP port 443 is HTTPS. This is mainly used for external sources to access a web server, so this has nothing to do with the previously mentioned NAT. Also, 192.168.120 is a wrong IP address. Try changing it to 192.168.0.120.

I know what those ports stand for, bu those were the ports requested by the game. As for the static IP I wrote it wrong in the forum but in the port forwarding I've written it right (192.168.0.120). When I contacted my ISP they said that all the ports were open, but if they were, then I wouldn't have a Strict NAT Type.

I immediately check the "Enabled" box the page refreshes but nothing is enabled. I then try to check the enabled box after I've saved the ports, the page refreshes but nothing is enabled again. I must add that after I saved the ports, nothing appears in the protocol column, even though I've put the protocol to TCP for both ports.

Solution

My ISP doesn't allow me to preform software updates on my router. But I think this is the case and I'll mark it as a solution. Thanks!
