router keeps disconnecting

I have a Netgear N300 and it keeps disconnecting every couple of hours. I just take out the plug and plug it in 10 seconds later and it gets fixed. I bought this last year, and this problem started 6 months ago, but not every couple of hours. More like every month or two.

i would start with the router user manual to check if everything is set ok and did you try reset to factory also when is disconnect does it loose power ?

Yea, when I disconnect, I turn off everything. Then wait for 10 seconds and turn it back on again.

but if you dont disconnect it do you still have power on the lights when it shut by itself ?

No, no lights or anything. Completely shut off

then you have a issue with it could be cutting of for overheathing and if this router still under warranty rma it .

yea that's what I was thinking too, it gets a little hot whenever I touch it. I'll see if my warranty still stands, or I'll just get a new one
