Comcast gave me a router/modem combo box labeled XB3. I have had an inconsistent connection while gaming (wireless) ever since, making competitive play frustrating. Going wired is not an option unfortunately.

I also own the Arris sb6141 Modem and the ASUS RT-AC66U router, which I could always count on working. My problem is that I need the XB3 for the phone connection, because the Arris has no telephone port.

Is there a way to either use the Arris/ASUS boxes while using the XB3 only for its phone capability? Any other suggestions to improve my situation?
Thanks

The phone part i know nothing about. but for the wireless i know how you feel, ive had comcast for 2 years now. just recently i have bought a powerline adapter, you plug it into the wall and it basically makes the powerline into an Ethernet cable. it is costly but it is worth it for the stable connection, good luck and cheers!
