Router Problem with Connect

Hello! So my internet has stopped working (not stopped working, just stopped connecting) and whenever i try to connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable it always shows the connection as limited or with the Ethernet Unidentified Network. I have searched far and wide and have tried everything. Cycled the power on the router, ipconfig stuff, everything. But when i tried hooking up to an old router the connection is fine. Is my primary router just bad? or what... Thanks!

Just cycling the power won't help if the router has forgot it's configuration, you should start with factory reset (usually by pressing a button while appying power)

Well, if this is the case and the modem can't even talk to the ISP, there is nothing you can do except to call the ISP.

YOUR_LAN (your responsibility) ===> MODEM ===(modem to Internet ISP responsibility)===> INTERNET.


Is just happened to me the other day, got a hour-long power out and the stupid modem wouldn't re-connect, and it's not like this was the first time I've lost power, but finally had to call ISP, he came out, and yep, modem toast, swapped it, BAM!
